Care Instructions

Sheridan has spent years testing its products under real everyday conditions to develop care instructions that help maintain softness, absorbency and longevity.

Machine wash on a gentle cycle at approximately 40°C using a mild detergent. Allow the detergent to dissolve fully before adding the towels, as undiluted detergent may cause staining or residue.

For best results, use a detergent free from optical brightening agents. A mild eucalyptus-based detergent or wool wash is recommended.

Avoid fabric softeners, as they can coat the cotton fibres and reduce the natural absorbency of the towels.

Wash stains promptly and avoid aggressive scrubbing. Instead, gently soak, blot or wash the affected area. Keep the towels away from bleach, benzoyl peroxide and similar products, as these substances may permanently discolour the fabric.

Do not overload the washing machine. Using a gentle cycle with thorough rinsing helps remove body oils and detergent residue while protecting the cotton fibres.

Drying

Regular tumble drying helps maintain the towels’ fluffy appearance and absorbency.

Tumble dry in smaller loads on a low or medium heat setting for no longer than approximately 20 minutes at a time. Avoid excessive heat and over-drying, as this may weaken the fibres.

When line drying, remove the towels before they are completely dry and finish them briefly in the tumble dryer to restore softness and fluffiness.

Always ensure the towels are completely dry before storing to prevent dampness and mildew.
