On average you are awake for two thirds of your life, but its not very productive if you don’t get that elusive ‘good nights sleep’. That good nights sleep can be found right when you purchase one of our Australian made products.
When you purchase from The Australian™ range, you’re supporting the future of Australian manufacturing and our farmers, and becoming the proud owner of a beautiful quality product that will give you a restful nights sleep for years to come.
In the early 1970s, polyester quilts began to emerge as an alternative to woollen blankets and feather and down doonas. Harry and his brother Dave saw an opportunity to take the company in a new direction. For the next 25 years, MIG Textiles became the sole suppliers of wool and polyester filling to prominent Australian quilt maker Sleepmaster.
From humble beginnings in 1933, when Isaac and son Harry sold clothing off-cuts to woollen mills to recycle into blankets, MIG Textiles has evolved to stay at the leading edge of quality bedding manufacturing.
In 1995, Harry’s sons Barry and David took the company’s tradition of innovation to a new level, when they acquired state-of-the-art German technology to manufacture quilts and pillows. Today, this tradition continues, with David’s daughter Rebecca working to ensure MIG Textiles remains at the forefront of the industry.
With our continued commitment to quality, luxury and innovation, MIG Textiles manufactures bedding for some of Australia’s most trusted brands.
Most importantly for our customers, our fibres and products remain proudly Australian grown, made and owned. When you purchase from The Australian™ range, you’re supporting the future of Australian manufacturing – and becoming the proud owner of a beautifully luxurious product that will keep you warm and comfortable for years to come.
